About Us

Our mission to transform lives through education

Founders

In December 2002, the MBA batch of 1978 from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, met for their 25th reunion. One outcome was the desire to do something socially meaningful. Thus was born IIMPACT – reflecting both the desire to make a positive impact and the roots of the founding members.

Vision

IIMPACT’s Vision is to transform the lives of women, families and entire communities in rural India by the empowerment of the girl child through joyful learning.

Mission

Our Mission is to enable girls, primarily between the ages of 6 and 14, from economically and socially backward rural areas of India, to get functional literacy and numeracy and become independent thinkers and life-long learners.

Objectives

Our Objectives are:

  • Enhance effective learning of primary education for all girl children, through support and active participation of communities.

These partners ensure seamless on-ground implementation, drawing strength from their deep understanding of local contexts and communities.

Over the years, IIMPACT has partnered with and strengthened 29 grassroots organisations, building their capacity and fostering knowledge-sharing through best practices. Today, 25 dedicated Implementing Partners are actively working with IIMPACT across multiple states, organising teacher training and quarterly assessments, collecting field data on student attendance and assessments and working with the Program Managers in Gurgaon to ensure high quality service delivery and achieve our targeted outcomes.
