The first batch of 75 IIMPACT girls had passed Class 5 in 2006 and joined formal schools from Class 6. This number has gone up in successive years. This year 762 girls have passed and a majority of them have joined Class 6, a new milestone for IIMPACT. CLASS 5 RESULTS 2011 100% SUCCESS RATE

A notable increase of 407 girls appearing for the Class 5 Board Exams this year: 471 from Alwar, Rajasthan and 304 from Mehmoodabad, Uttar Pradesh.

After starting their schooling at IIMPACT 4-5 years ago, 3765 girls have completed their Class V from IIMPACT this year. All these girls have joined higher education in other schools. A breakup of the girls who have graduated from IIMPACT’s programmes in the last 10 years is given below:

Name: Monika Singh-98.2%

My name is Monika Singh. I study in Class – V at IIMPACT-Nalanda learning Center- Terwa Manikapur.  My father is a labourer and mother is a housewife. Earlier I did not study anywhere. When my teacher started IIMPACT- Nalanda Learning Center, I began to study here. My teacher teaches us very well. I like Science, Math and English very much. I always came first in my class. My friend also came to the center every day. I would like to continue my studies further and in the future I want to become a GOOD TEACHER.

I am Ruchi Singh and I belong to a very poor family. I live in Terwa Manikapur .I have passed class V from the  IIMPACT- Nalanda learning center at Terwa Manikapur with good marks.I’m very happy that I have done well in these exams. My Madam helps me during my studies. She helped me a lot with preparing for these exams. I am no longer afraid of school or learning.I like to read Hindi, English and also like drawing. As and when I would have a problem or question I would ask my Madam again and again till I understood it completely. This makes me feel very comfortable in the Center.My determination is getting stronger each day and I am working very hard to achieve my goal of becoming a TEACHER when I grow up.

My name is Tarannum. I have passed class V from IIMPACT-Nalanda learning Center Murkatiya. Earlier I had enrolled my name in Madarsa. When Madam of IIMPACT- Nalanda Learning center  told us about the center I enrolled my name as I wanted to study. My favorite subject is Science. I want to become a teacher after my graduation.

We wish 1409 IIMPACT graduates all the very best, always. May they always have the wealth of knowledge with them.

Our Girls Have Done It Once Again!

They worked hard throughout the year preparing for the local government board exams. This year 368 girls appeared for the class V examinations – 205 from Alwar, Rajasthan and 163 from our centres in Mehmoodabad, U.P. – 354 girls scored a 1 division and a mere fourteen a 2 division.

Credit goes not only to the girls alone, but to their dedicated teachers, IIMPACT supervisors, the parents and other supportive members of the community. Together they all ensured that a conducive atmosphere for learning was continuously maintained, nutritious food served and lanterns provided when darkness set in.

Tracking of girls after class V

After 4 years of being in IIMPACT classes the girls have not only grown in age but in intelligence. They have worked hard and proved their competence. This has been proven by the results of 2009, Rajasthan Government School Class V results.  A total of 167 girls appeared for the examination out of which 149 girls scored first division, 14 girls scored second and only 4 scored third. The girls who scored third division were suffering from chicken pox, and were asked not to appear for the examinations. Even though they had the option of being absent, they opted to give the exam. When enquired about the reason, one of them said that all their other batch mates would join a formal school and go to school wearing a pretty uniform, which would not be possible for them if they did not give the exam. The joyful method of studying has made books their friends. Now they want to go to formal education as they are confident to take on the world with their knowledge. They have proved that if given the right opportunity they can IIMPACT the world.

Our topper this year, Rubina from Mahua Khurd scored 91.71%, following the suit were Pooja from Moreda and Anisha from Mahua Khurd scoring 90.57% and 90.28% respectively.
